Two-Year Course of Franciscanism Spirituality & Intellectual Tradition

Two-Year Course of Franciscanism Spirituality & Intellectual Tradition

In the Footsteps of Francis & Clare

This two-year online course offers a basic formation in Franciscan Spirituality and Intellectual Tradition. It is for Franciscans from all three Orders and anyone with a Franciscan heart.

From the Pontifical Theological Faculty of St. Bonaventure (Seraphicum) and the Pontifical University of St. Anthony (Antonianum),

the aim is to offer an overview of the development of Franciscanism and of the works of the great Franciscan masters, by systematically deepening themes within the charism of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi. From this perspective, aspects of Franciscanism will be explored in relation to the mission of the Church as realized through discipleship in the world of yesterday and today, with a hope for tomorrow.  The various sections of the course will follow their own methodology of integrating study with praxis, so that knowledge of Franciscanism becomes a way of life.

Registration is open from 1 July to 14 October 2024 with classes beginning 15 October 2024 and running until 27 May 2025. The class hours are on Tuesdays from 14:00 to 17:30 (CET – Rome Time).
