Rite of Beginning Fraternity

Rite of Beginning Fraternity

On July 5 at the Franciscan House of Studies on Chicago’s North Side, we welcomed six men into the Conventual Franciscan Postulancy Program.

Postulancy is a year of initial formation, designed to help men discern a vocation in the Conventual Franciscan Order. While living in community, postulants study Franciscan history and spirituality, spend time in daily Mass and prayer, and serve in various ministries in the Chicago area.

L to R: Friar Ian Bremar (Associate Director Postulancy Program), Matthew Flaherty (OLC), Martin Caron (OLA), Kole Resler (OLA), Tristen Paraiso (OLA), George Harris (SB), Paul Devera (OLC), Friar Paul Schneider (Director Postulancy Program)

Please keep the postulants and their directors in prayer as they journey together through the next year.
