On July 10, eleven men entered the Conventual Franciscan Postulancy in Chicago, Illinois. The men were presented with a San Damiano Cross as they were welcomed into this first stage of formation in the Order. During the year, they will study Franciscan history and spirituality, spend time in daily Mass and prayer, and serve in various ministries in the Chicago area.
Postulancy is the first year of initial formation in the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. It is a year of introduction to and immersion in the Franciscan lifestyle.
