Solemn Profession of Vows

Solemn Profession of Vows

Friars Tarcisius Bucca and Anthony Ruffolo made their Solemn Profession of Vows on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the National Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe in Marytown, Libertyville, Illinois.

In his homily, Fr. Paul Joseph Langevin, Minister Provincial of Saint Bonaventure Province, spoke about Franciscan life and Religious Vows as “a radical ‘yes’ to the Divine initiative; a response to God’s love poured into our hearts…”

Friars Anthony and Tarcisius were questioned about their intentions. After answering in the affirmative, they prostrated themselves in total self-giving to the Lord as the Litany of Saints was chanted.
The Minister Provincial prayed over the men, after which each came forward to profess their Solemn Vows into his hands. (Friar Anthony in above photo)

All Solemnly Professed members of the Order came forward to offer a fraternal sign of congratulations and welcome to the newly Solemnly Professed friars.
The Solemn Profession was streamed live on YouTube. You can view the recording below –
