Six young adults were commissioned recently as the 26th group of FrancisCorps volunteers. The event took place on August 11, 2024, which is the feast day of St. Clare of Assisi. FrancisCorps offers the opportunity to experience Gospel life through a year of Franciscan service, intentional community, and faith formation. The volunteers commit to serving 8 hours a day, five days a week at a variety of service sites in the Syracuse, NY, area. The volunteer opportunities are at food pantry & soup kitchens, shelters, refugee services, preschool programs, and more.
