July is a time of transition for many of our men in formation. Please pray for them as they take new steps on their Franciscan journey.
This week we are welcoming new postulants to our House of Studies in Chicago and on July 12 five incoming novices will be invested with the habit as they enter the Conventual Franciscan Novitiate in Arroyo Grande, California.
Postulants, Paul Devera, George Harris, Matthew Flaherty, Tristen Paraiso, and Kole Resler ended their year of postulancy with an all-formation gathering at Holy Cross Retreat Center in Mesilla Park, New Mexico. The postulants, novices, and student friars along with their formators prayed together and built fraternity. The Conventual Franciscan Bishop of Lexington John Stowe led the group in discussion about Synodality.
Br. Augustine and his student, Fr. Boniface, have been busy in their studio making habits for the incoming novices. Check out ‘Marytown’s Master Tailors at Work’ to learn more about their work!
Also, take a few moments to watch the following video which brings you to the peace and the challenge of the Conventual Franciscan Novitiate in Arroyo Grande, California.
More to come soon –
Please pray for all our men in formation!
