Today, May 25, 2026, there’s a trifecta of celebrations.
First, it’s the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church.
Alleluia, alleluia. O joyful Virgin, who gave birth to the Lord; O blessed Mother of the Church, who nurture in us the Spirit of your Son Jesus Christ! Alleluia, alleluia.

And May 25 is when we celebrate the Feast of the Dedication of the Basilica of St. Francis remembering when in 1230 the body of Saint Francis was transferred from San Giorgio to the church constructed in his honor.
