On the evening of October 3rd, Franciscans around the world will celebrate Transitus, which means

Francis understood the men who came to follow him as a gift from the Lord; he received and celebrated that gift! The friars’ life in fraternity is the heart of our charism and exists as our primary mission. Community life, in the Franciscan vision, is an end in and of itself.
