August 21st is National Senior Citizens Day, honoring the achievements of older adults and recognizing their contributions to society.
Friar Valentine Jankowski wrote recently an article for the newsletter of the Province of Our Lady of Consolation. He is grateful to continue serving in ministry at the age of 91. He shares:
After all these years, I still believe this is the heart of the Franciscan vocation: to live the Gospel with simplicity, to proclaim peace, and to love God’s people and God’s Creation with an undivided heart.
