Friar Franck-Lino Sokpolie was ordained a priest on Saturday, July 19, at Holy Cross Church in Atlanta, Georgia, by the Most Reverend Gregory J. Hartmayer OFM Conv., Archbishop of Atlanta. Father Franck-Lino celebrated his first Mass on Sunday, July 20.

I have become what I love, and I love has shaped who I am, first as a friar, and now as a friar priest. Thank you! Please pray for me and be assured of my prayers for you all.

Friar Lino has a B.A. in French and Francophone Studies with a minor in philosophy and an Advanced Certificate in European Studies from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He earned his Master of Divinity in 2025 from the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, TX. He spent two summers in Colombia learning Spanish and working with the friars in Bogotá and Medellín. His first assignment as a priest is at Holy Cross Parish, working closely with the Hispanic community.

Please pray for Rev. Fr. Franck-Lino Sokpolie OFM Conv. as he begins his priestly ministry.
